How it feels to be new me

We recently did an essay titled how it feels to be ____ me (fill the blank). Well I chose the theme of being new. I wrote about how sometimes we have made mistakes in our lives or where we were perfectly happy with our lives but even though we have those times you can still start over. I know because this is my 5th or 6th time moving. Each time you can start fresh with a clean slate. No matter what you've done this is your chance to make a new you. This is your chance to be who you really want to be.

  1. That must be really hard to start a new school, especially at McFarland where people have been here since kindergarten. It would be nice to start over there and be who you want to be. That's kind of how I feel towards college. It's going to be really nice to not have anyone know what your past is or what kind of family you came from.

  2. Moving around is pretty tough, especially 5 or 6 times! I have moved to four different states, and that was pretty difficult. I think it builds character though. You get to experience all different types of people and learn from them. Over all it makes you a better person in the long run.

  3. This is very inspirational. It's true that you can always make a bad situation and work it out to make it be good. It must have been hard moving. I've only lived in McFarland and I can't wait to leave for college.

Eventhough my schooling has been exclusively in mcfarland i dont feel a great tie down. i plan on traveling a lot and getting out to see what is there. you seem to have an experience uniquely yours, hope your stay here is going well.

  5. I totally agree with you. That is why I am so excited to start college next year! Because it will be a brand new start after so many years of not being able to do that.
